We will transport wheelchairs and other assistive devices at no additional cost, either in the cabin or as checked baggage.
Cabin transport depends on whether the device can be safely stored in the overhead compartment or in the aircraft closet (note: not all aircraft have a closet). If it cannot be accommodated in the cabin, the device will be transported in the cargo hold at no extra charge.
You may choose to check the device at the airport counter during check-in or at the aircraft boarding gate.
Please arrive at the airport check-in counter three (3) hours prior to your scheduled departure time so our staff can verify the necessary documentation, check the device (if applicable), and issue a baggage receipt.
Battery-powered assistive devices with non-spillable batteries can be transported in the cargo hold free of charge, provided that:
Terminals are protected against short circuits
The battery is properly contained
The device is secured to prevent damage from shifting baggage
Battery-powered wheelchairs and assistive devices will only be accepted if they do not compromise flight safety. Wet or acid batteries are considered hazardous materials and will not be accepted for transport. Please review our battery acceptance conditions as detailed in Article 9.8.
Note: Travel companions must be at least 16 years old at the time of travel.
As documentation verifying your condition must be reviewed, online check-in will not be available. Please ensure you arrive at the check-in counter at least three hours prior to your flight’s departure.
